My wife has been hanging sayings all over our home since as long as I can remember and although many of them are not truly inspirational, they are all true.

I have decided to post some of my favorites, along with more poetry and songs.  I have had several people ask me where more poetry is and I have to be honest and say that the first poem was mostly a gag.  I never dreamed anyone would actually read it.  My poems are so odd in today’s world as well.  They rhyme.  I tried buying a poetry book years ago when I had nothing to read on a trip and couldn’t find anything that I could even understand.  Many of my poems have a deep message but some are just right out there meaning what they say.  None of them take a literary arts degree to understand.

Wait… I just figured out what some of those university degrees they offer are for.  I still think it is way too much money for a 10 to 15 year career… and who would pay you to understand or explain poetry written by Jewel anyhow?
